BEMIDJI– A Bemidji man was seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in Hubbard County Tuesday.

According to a release, a Jeep Liberty, driven by 40-year-old Nicole Sovde of Bemidji, was west bound on Highway 2 and a Jeep Cherokee, driven by 74-year-old Torrance Lillevold, was southbound from Vagabond Loop around 9:20 last night.

Lillevold proceeded across the westbound US 2 lanes in front of Sovde’s vehicle. Sovde swerved to avoid him but the Jeeps collided. Lillevold’s vehicle spun and rolled onto the driver’s side.

Sovde and her passenger, a 14-year-old Bemidji girl, were treated for non-life threatening injuries at the Sanford Hospital. Lillevold was transported to Sanford for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
