Bemidji recently made a list of America’s Best Hockey Towns. According to the study by the website “Smart Asset,” Bemidji ranked 21st.

According to the website, the study was based on nine different metrics that fell into two general categories: fan intensity and quality of life.

Towns that listed higher tended to have higher median household incomes, and had higher attendance at local games compared to the town’s population.

Grand Forks made number four on the list.
