Bemidji Rotary, Sanford Health to host blood screening event

The Bemidji Rotary Club and Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota will host a blood screening event next month.

Appointments are required for the three-day event, Wednesday through Friday, May 18-20, at the Bemidji Medical Center in the Education Center.

The comprehensive screening is $35, and includes screenings for cholesterol, triglycerides, high-density lipoproteins, low-density lipoproteins, glucose, creatinine, hemoglobin, white blood cell count and liver.

Fasting is not a requirement, but participants may fast, while still consuming water, 9-12 hours before the test.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Bemidji Rotary Club and North Country Park Playground.

To schedule an appointment, visit the Sanford Health website or call (218)333-2277.
