Bemidji Speakers place third in first meet of the season

The Bemidji Lumberjack Speech Team was ranked third out of 28 teams during an invitational at Fergus Falls Saturday.

Amy Frenzel placed second in Discussion; Maya Lindquist placed second in Original Oratory.

Ev Cordst placed third in Extemporaenous Reading.

Bringing home fourth place medals were Gwen Galloway in Informative, Misha Montgomery in Great Speeches and Chloe Luce in Poetry.

Maggie Loxtercamp was the Honors Champion in Prose, Ev Cordst was Honors Champion in Drama, and Jaden Henderson placed fourth in Honors Storytelling.

Senior Maya Lindquist became the fifth BHS speaker to pass 1,000 speaker points, reaching the Outstanding Distinction level of NSDA achievement.
