Bemidji Weekend Blotter: 10/1-10/4

The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Oct. 1, to Sunday, Oct. 4.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, OCT. 4

Theft, 5:25 p.m.

Report of theft of Biden yard sign on the 1400 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

Traffic Stop, 4:50 p.m.

Traffic stop for no seatbelts on Irvine Ave. and 16th St. NW. One arrested for DWI.

Found, 1:28 p.m.

Found firearm on America Ave. and 7th St. NW.

Ordinance Violations, 8:54 a.m.

Officer checked on possible garbage burning on Lincoln Ave. and 2nd St. SE. Nothing was left in the fire pit but it smelled of plastic. Officer advised homeowner of the complaint and they agreed to put it out.

Pursuit, 12:28 a.m.

Officers dispatched to the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S. on report of suspicious activity regarding an ATV, which turned into a pursuit. Male and female arrested and stolen ATV recovered.

SATURDAY, OCT. 3

Suspicious, 12:06 p.m.

Suspicious hole found in residence on the 4200 block of Sherman Dr. NE. Officer photographed the hole which appeared to be an old septic tank. No further actions taken.

Assault, 1:59 a.m.

Officer responded to an assault at a business on the 100 block of 3rd ST. NW. Charges referred.

DWI, 12:41 a.m.

Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. and 1st St. E. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.

FRIDAY, OCT. 2

Assault, 11:48 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the 600 block of 4th St. SE. Two adults and one juvenile arrested.

Fire, 4:15 a.m.

Officers responded to the report of a smoke filled apartment on the 4000 block of Supreme Ct. NW. Adult male arrested for multiple charges.

Disturbing the Peace, 1:08 a.m.

Report of a noise disturbance on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW. One arrested for a warrant.

THURSDAY, OCT. 1

Agency Assist, 10:20 p.m.

Officers responded to a 911 open line that originated in Beltrami County, on Irvine Ave. and Nordic Ave. NW. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.

Property Damage, 5:56 p.m.

Female was arrested on multiple warrants on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Theft, 4:30 p.m.

Report of burglary of garage on the 1100 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.

Harassment, 3:41 p.m.

Report of juveniles harassing other juveniles on the 2400 block of Park Ave. NW. Spoke with several seven-year-olds who were in the area.

Theft, 1:57 p.m.

Political sign stolen overnight on the 3600 block of Tamarack Ave. NW. No suspects.

Traffic Stop, 11:28 a.m.

Warrant arrest after traffic stop on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

DWI, 12:58 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult male arrested for DWI.

SUNDAY, OCT. 4

Suspicious, 9:49 p.m.

Report of a vehicle in the ditch on the 4500 block of Wolf Lake Dr. SE. Driver arrested for DWI.

Traffic Stop, 7:56 p.m.

Traffic stop on Balsam Rd. and Nature Rd. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.

Theft, 5:43 p.m.

Reported theft of political signs on the 7900 block of Long Lake Dr. NE> Unable to make contact with the reporting party.

Agency Assist, 12:28 a.m.

Vehicle pursuit with stolen ATV on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S.

SATURDAY, OCT. 3

DWI, 10:58 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Driver arrested for DWI and drug possession.

Warrant, 7:09 p.m.

One arrested on the 29300 block of US Highway 2.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 4:52 p.m.

Adult male arrested for DWI on Highway 71 and Wildwood Rd. NE.

Fire, 7:51 a.m.

Deputies responded to a report of a fully engulfed garage fire on the 3500 block of Alder St. NE. No injuries, determined to be accidental in nature.

FRIDAY, OCT. 2

Violations/Court Orders, 5:01 p.m.

Subject arrested after fleeing on foot on the 160600 block of Centerline Rd. NW in Pinewood.

Theft, 3:18 p.m.

Report of a possibly stolen firearm on the 30900 block of Hornet Rd. NE in Blackduck.

Suspicious, 11:06 a.m.

Caller advised on Census worker on the 900 block of Centerline Rd. SW in Solway.

Violations/Court Orders, 8:50 a.m.

Subject arrested on an A&D order on Highway 89 NW.

THURSDAY, OCT. 1

911, 10:20 p.m.

Car stopped by the Bemidji Police Department on Irvine Ave. and Nordic Ave. NW. Two arrested.

Burglary, 1:33 p.m.

Report of a residential burglary and theft on the 500 block of Deep Woods Ct. SW in Wilton, involving the theft of a firearm.

Weapons Offenses, 1:31 p.m.

Welfare check on intoxicated adult male with firearm on the 17400 block of Highway 89 NW. Male arrested for multiple related charges.
