The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Oct. 22, to Sunday, Oct. 24.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, OCT. 24
Assist, 8:19 p.m.
BPD assisted State Patrol on a traffic stop on Bemidji Ave. and 4th St. NW. One arrsted.
Fire, 4:36 p.m.
Officer was called about possible burning garbage on the 600 block of 4th St. NW. Upon arrival, it was wet wood.
Theft, 3:31 p.m.
Theft of motor vehicle on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW.
Welfare Check, 3:04 p.m.
Officer responded to a welfare check on the 900 block of Carter Cir. SE. Upon arrival, no assistance was needed as it was a joke by a friend sending texts.
Accident, 4:10 a.m.
One arrested on Bemidji Ave. and 12th St. NE.
Weapons Offenses, 12:42 a.m.
Reported on Lake Ave. NE.
SATURDAY, OCT. 23
Suspicious, 3:22 p.m.
Officer responded to a possible false imprisonment on the 400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. After investigation it was determined to be unfounded.
FRIDAY, OCT. 22
DWI, 11:16 p.m.
Traffic enforcement on the 3000 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Driver was arrested for multiple violations.
Theft, 12:51 p.m.
Officer responded to a theft report on the 300 block of 3rd St. NW. Male party was located and arrested on his felony Beltrami County warrant.
Theft, 11:35 a.m.
Officer took a theft from a vehicle report on the 900 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
Missing Person, 10:45 a.m.
Officer took a possibly missing person’s report on the 800 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Upon further investigation, the male was arrested in Hubbard County. No further action needed.
Disorderly Conduct, 3:56 a.m.
Officers responded to a disorderly adult male on the 500 block of America Ave. NW. Male was arrested to prevent further criminal activity.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SUNDAY, OCT. 24
Agency Assist, 4:10 a.m.
Deputy assisted the BPD for a report of a male who crashed into a pole on Bemidji Ave. and 12th St. NE. Male arrested for DWI.
Warrant, 12:48 a.m.
Adult female arrested for a Beltrami County warrant on Highway 2.
SATURDAY, OCT. 23
Welfare Check, 8:02 p.m.
Deputies responded to the area to look for a subject that had walked away from home. Subject was found to be in the garage by family on Schroeder Rd. NW. No action by deputies needed.
Weapons Offenses, 6:20 p.m.
Deputy checked the area for the report of possible gunshots on Shamrock Ct. and Trengove Rd. NW. All appeared to be well in the area.
DWI, 5:09 p.m.
Traffic stop on Highway 2. Driver arrested for DWI and possession of controlled substances.
Alarm, 11:27 a.m.
Alarm set off by wildlife on the 130200 block of Birchview Dr. NE. Proper ID to cancel.
DWI, 10:42 a.m.
Welfare check on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Subject arrested for DWI.
FRIDAY, OCT. 22
Weapons Offenses, 8:50 p.m.
Deputies checked the area for suspect gunshots on the 15300 block of Great Valley Rd. NW in Solway. All appeared to be well.
Warrant, 5:33 p.m.
Warrant arrests on the 50900 block of 279th Ave. Two arrested.
Assault, 3:21 p.m.
Adult male arrested for DWI and domestic assault on Roosevelt Rd. SE.
Burglary, 3:06 p.m.
Deputy advised of a storage unit burglary on the 5000 block of Wild Rose Ln. NW.
Welfare Check, 2:03 a.m.
Welfare check on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Male arrested for violation of a court order.
DWI, 1:24 a.m.
Deputy checked on a vehicle on the shoulder of Roosevelt Rd. and Doberman Ct. SE. Male arrested for DWI.
