The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Dec. 16, through Sunday, Dec. 18.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, DEC. 18
Burglary, 10:25 p.m.
Officer responded to a theft on the 2800 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW.
Assault, 4:50 p.m.
Domestic dispute on Gould Ave. SE. Neither party wanted to cooperate or charge the other. Gave male a ride to emergency room for laceration on hand.
Welfare Check, 2:18 p.m.
Officers responded to the 700 block of 15th St. NW for a welfare check on a male dancing in the street. Male was ok and continued on his way.
Burglary, 12:59 p.m.
Officers took a report about a burglary of a garage on the 1500 block of 3rd St. SE.
Welfare Check, 8:30 a.m.
Officers responded to a welfare check on the 700 block of Beltrami Ave. NW for a husband on his wife who was planning on giving a ride to a stranger from a local church. Officers provided a courtesy ride on her behalf instead.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 3:42 a.m.
One arrested. Handled by Minnesota State Patrol.
Disorderly Conduct, 1:22 a.m.
Report of an assault in progress on the 100 block of 3rd St. NW. Officers arrested male party for disorderly conduct.
SATURDAY, DEC. 17
Suspicious, 10:21 p.m.
Officers responded to the report of a suspicious person possibly climbing into a window of a house on the 1600 block of 5th St. NE. Officers were unable to locate any signs of distress or suspicious activity.
Disorderly Conduct, 9:28 p.m.
Disorderly male placed under arrest for felony DOC warrant on the 2900 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW.
Medical, 7:49 p.m.
Unresponsive male party on the 800 block of America Ave. NW. Transported by EMS.
Welfare Check, 10:21 a.m.
Welfare check for person digging through dumpsters on Birchmont Dr. and Calihan Ave. NE. Person identified.
DWI, 1:52 a.m.
BSU Public Safety called in impaired driver on the 1800 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. Officers arrived and located driver, failed SFST, arrested for second-degree DWI.
FRIDAY, DEC. 16
DWI, 5:12 p.m.
Report of a reckless vehicle on Bemidji Ave. and 15th St. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.
Fire, 7:44 a.m.
Officers assisted BFD with a vehicle fire on the 700 block of 15th St. NW.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SUNDAY, DEC. 18
Agency Assist, 11:57 a.m.
Subject arrested on a DANCO violation in Blackduck.
Assist, 11:07 a.m.
Deputy attempted to locate keys outside of the residence for the homeowner on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW.
Fire, 7:27 a.m.
Deputies responded to the report of a structure fire on the 16100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE on the Leech Lake Reservation. No injuries reported.
Suicide, 12:15 a.m.
Mobile crisis advised of a male party making threats of self-harm with a firearm in Cass Lake.
SATURDAY, DEC. 17
Assist, 10:00 p.m.
Vehicle in the ditch on Roosevelt Rd. and Pathway Rd. SE. Driver arrested for DWI.
Suspicious, 7:46 p.m.
Deputies checked outside of a residence on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW for suspicious noises. Deputies located stray cats.
DWI, 1:09 p.m.
Subject arrested for DWI on Black Lake Rd. and Gull Lake Loop Rd. NE.
Traffic Stop, 1:46 a.m.
Traffic stop for expired registration, registered owner’s revoked driving status and active warrant on Balsam Rd. and Highway 89. Male driver arrested for DAC-IPS and first-degree DWI.
FRIDAY, DEC. 16
Disorderly Conduct, 10:14 p.m.
Report of disorderly conduct with caller wanting a male removed from a residence on the 900 block of Little Norway Ave. SE. Male was arrested for outstanding warrant.

Adult arrested for DWI on Sumac Rd. and Pincherry Rd. NE in Turtle River.
