The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Dec. 30, through Sunday, Jan. 2.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, JAN. 2
Suspicious, 4:24 p.m.
Officers responded to a suspicious clothing call on the 2500 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Officers gathered the clothing and will store them as found property.
Property Damage, 11:13 a.m.
Tires were not slashed, the tire was flat and they then drove on it on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.
Assist, 4:20 a.m.
Caller was looking for a gas station open late at night.
Theft, 4:15 a.m.
Officer took a report of a stolen vehicle on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.
Warrant, 2:43 a.m.
Officers advised of a warrant subject in an apartment on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Female fled out a window and was arrested on multiple charges.
Warrant, 12:35 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 1000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Driver arrested on multiple warrants.
SATURDAY, JAN. 1
Fire, 11:08 p.m.
Active flames discovered in an apartment building on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Bemidji Fire responded to put out the fire.
Warrant, 11:04 p.m.
Traffic stop on Highway 2 and Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. Driver arrested on a warrant.
Harassment, 10:06 p.m.
Officer responded to the 600 block of America Ave. NW on a report of disorderly conduct. Female arrested on a local warrant.
Accident, 5:58 p.m.
Two vehicle accident on Bemidji Ave. and 3rd St. NW. Two parties transported by ambulance to the hospital. One cited.
Theft, 5:34 p.m.
Theft from vehicle reported on the 600 block of 2nd St. SE.
Theft, 12:46 p.m.
Theft of ice fishing equipment from vehicle on the 100 block of Central Ave. SE.
Civil, 12:19 p.m.
Officer assisted and advised on a harassment issue over a puppy dispute on the 1400 block of Delton Ave. NW. No further assistance was requested.
Accident, 1:50 a.m.
Vehicle accident on Bemidji Ave. and 15th St. NW. Driver placed under arrest for DWI.
Assist, 12:44 a.m.
One arrested on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Park Ave. NW.
FRIDAY, DEC. 31
Traffic Stop, 10:56 p.m.
Traffic stop on Irvine Ave. and 28th St. NW for expired tabs. Driver arrested on felony warrant.
Assist, 10:38 p.m.
Female requested escort from car to apartment due to suspicious adult male standing outside building on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S. Officer escorted female to apartment.
Hazards (dangerous), 2:50 p.m.
Smell of gas handled by Bemidji Fire on the 400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. SE.
Theft, 8:01 a.m.
Vehicle theft on the 1100 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Vehicle signed as stolen. One arrested.
THURSDAY, DEC. 30
Assist, 10:30 p.m.
Agency assist on Irvine Ave. and Highway 71 NW. Vehicle pursuit, multiple subjects arrested.
Medical, 8:19 p.m.
Caller reported medical, possible overdose on Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Subject transported via EMS.
Burglary, 2:43 p.m.
An officer responded to a burglary on the 500 block of 20th St. NW.
Welfare Check, 10:23 a.m.
Welfare check on infant and parents. Parents were displaying signs of controlled substance use. Mother admitted to using controlled substances a couple days prior. Infant was placed on a 72-hour protective hold.
Suspicious, 6:39 a.m.
Juvenile male heard a noise outside the residence on the 2400 block of Irvine Ave. NW. All was secure and older sibling was advised and agreed to help little brother.

SUNDAY, JAN. 2
Assault, 9:36 p.m.
One male arrested for domestic assault on 3rd St. SE.
Alarm, 12:32 p.m.
Commercial panic alarm-part deux on the 8000 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Employee instructed on how response differs from intrusion alarms.
DWI, 5:12 a.m.
Report of an occupied vehicle in the ditch on Great Divide Rd. and Silver Maple Rd. NW. Adult male arrested for alcohol-DWI.
SATURDAY, JAN. 1
Disorderly Conduct, 9:38 a.m.
Verbal argument between brothers on the 1200 block of Little Norway Ave. SE. Both agreed to calm down.
FRIDAY, DEC. 31
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 5:34 p.m.
Deputy responded to a vehicle stuck on a snowmobile trail on Irvine Ave. and Arctic Rd. NW.
911, 9:46 a.m.
911 misdial on the 35800 block of Arnson Creek Rd. NE in Blackduck. Deputies responded where it was discovered the family dog had chewed up a phone. All was well.
THURSDAY, DEC. 30
Agency Assist, 10:30 p.m.
Deputy located vehicle that fled from MSP on Irvine Ave. and Highway 71 NW. Two adults arrested on various charges.
Assault, 7:58 a.m.
Disorderly conduct reported at a home on Roosevelt Rd. SE. One adult arrested for DANCO violation.
DWI, 2:06 a.m.
Vehicle in the ditch on Birchmont Beach Rd. and Ruffed Grouse Rd. NE. Female arrested for third-degree DWI, DAR, and warrant.
DWI, 12:10 a.m.
One arrested on the 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.
