The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Feb. 11, through Sunday, Feb. 13.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, FEB. 13
Disorderly Conduct, 5:11 p.m.
Two males fighting during child custody exchange.
Accident, 10:03 a.m.
Caller reported hit-and-run on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Suspect vehicle located.
SATURDAY, FEB. 12
Suspicious, 5:40 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a female knocking on a door on the 500 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. It was determined the female was attempting to contact a friend and that no crime had been committed.
DWI, 4:58 p.m.
Adult female arrested for DWI and false name on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr NW. Released to another agency for a felony warrant.
Fire, 4:48 p.m.
Officers assisted the Bemidji Fire Department with a fire on the 200 block of 14th St. NW. A citation was issued for the burning of garbage.
Suspicious, 3:51 p.m.
Officers responded to the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW for a suspicious item. The item was determined to be a Bible verse and not suspicious or criminal.
Accident, 11:21 a.m.
Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries on 10th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. One juvenile cited.
FRIDAY, FEB. 11
Disorderly Conduct, 9:25 p.m.
Officers responded to a disorderly conduct call on Minnesota Ave. NW. Adult male arrested for local warrants.
Warrant, 2:22 p.m.
Officers assisted U.S. probation with a warrant on a male. The male was placed under arrest and transported to the Beltrami County jail.
Traffic Stop, 12:21 a.m.
Traffic stop on 30th St. and Ridgeway Ave. NW. Verbal warning for expired registration. Male passenger arrested for DOC warrant.
BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SUNDAY, FEB. 13
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:15 p.m.
Report of vehicle in the ditch on the 12000 block of Aure Rd. NW. Male driver arrested for gross misdemeanor DWI.
Alarm, 7:47 p.m.
Homeowner forgot he hired roof snow removal service on Woodcrest Dr. NW. No further assistance needed.
Property Damage, 1:05 p.m.
Report of children throwing snowballs and ice chunks at neighbors house on Dobermant Ct. SE. Deputies investigating matter found only empty coats and swirling snow where children had been when they saw the squad car pull in. Children later corralled by helpful dad. Deputies returned to provide stern lecture.
SATURDAY, FEB. 12
Disturbing the Peace, 11:27 p.m.
Young adults partying on the 16500 block of Ranchero Dr. NE. Advised to shut it down for the night. They were all staying at the house.
Robbery, 4:57 p.m.
Deputies responded to the report of a robbery on Trengove Rd. NW in Solway.
FRIDAY, FEB. 11
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 10:09 p.m.
Report of a logging trailer in the roadway on Highway 2 and Northwood Rd. NW. Handled by Minnesota State Patrol.
Accident, 4:41 p.m.
Deputies responded to a snowmobile accident on Centerline Rd. and Grange Rd. NW in Buzzle Township.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 1:55 p.m.
Report of a vehicle in the ditch on Grange Rd. and Irvine Ave. NW. Driver arrested on a warrant.
