The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Feb. 28, to Sunday, March 1.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, MARCH 1
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 9:30 p.m.
Vehicle accident reported on the 2600 block of Bemidji Ave. N. One arrested.
Suspicious, 8:36 p.m.
An officer was notified of a suspicious van in the area of the 2600 block of Bixby Ave. NE. Upon arrival, the officer was unable to locate the van.
Theft, 7:27 p.m.
Caller reported theft from a vehicle on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.
DWI, 12:56 a.m.
Officer responded to a hit and run on 6th St. and Irvine Ave. NW. Subject was located and arrested for DWI.
SATURDAY, FEB. 29
Welfare Check, 11:34 p.m.
Officers checked on a welfare check request on the 800 block of 26th St. NW. Upon arrival, a male was arrested for felony warrants and numerous additional charges.
Warrant, 11:23 p.m.
Adult male found walking in the sidewalk on the 900 block of 30th St. NW was arrested on a confirmed local warrant. No additional charges.
Theft, 3:51 p.m.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW on a report of a male shoplifter. The male was arrested.
Theft, 10:35 a.m.
Theft of two propane tanks reported on the 300 block of Kay Ave. SE.
Disturbing the Peace, 12:42 a.m.
Officer responded to a loud noise complaint on the 2900 block of Pine Ridge Ave. NW. Upon arrival, it was a verbal disagreement over radio volume. No action needed.
FRIDAY, FEB. 28
Theft, 10:55 p.m.
Theft of a water bottle reported on the 1100 block of Event Center Dr. NE.
Assault, 10:34 p.m.
Male arrested for assault on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW.
Disorderly Conduct, 9:28 p.m.
Two males cited for fighting on the 600 block of 3rd St. NW. One male arrested to be released when sober.
Theft, 10:24 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of theft on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Suspect was placed under arrest.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 6:08 a.m.
Damage to property, theft from a motor vehicle on the 1000 block of Anne St. NW.
Disturbing the Peace, 2:30 a.m.
Report of a disorderly male playing loud music on the 1900 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. Female was able to calm the male down and go to bed.
Welfare Check, 12:35 a.m.
Male arrested on the 1400 block of Bemidji Ave. N. pending several charges during a welfare check.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:28 p.m.
Disorderly conduct reported on the 7300 block of Beaulieu Cir. NE, male arrested for a warrant.
DWI, 10:23 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 5200 block of Theater Ln. NW. Driver arrested for drug DWI, 5th degree controlled substance and driving after cancellation-inimical to public safety.
DWI, 9:30 p.m.
Vehicle struck another vehicle on the 2600 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for DWI.
Disorderly Conduct, 4:25 p.m.
Report of an adult male being intoxicated and disorderly on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. Adult male located and arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction of the legal process.
Accident, 12:05 p.m.
Assisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a two-vehicle crash with injuries on Highway 89 and Grange Rd. NW.
Assist, 9:37 a.m.
Deputy checked on a vehicle that was on the side of the road of Bemidji Ave. N and Annebell St. NE. Driver was waiting for other parties to go fishing.
Disorderly Conduct, 2:23 a.m.
Investigated report of an argument involving alcohol on the 900 block of Little Norway Ave. SE. Male arrested for a probation violation.
SATURDAY, FEB. 29
DWI, 6:32 p.m.
Vehicle wrong way in front of a deputy on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Driver arrested for drug DWI.
DWI, 6:04 p.m.
Traffic stop on Roosevelt Rd. and Little Norway Ave. SE. Driver arrested for drug DWI, test refusal and possession of marijuana.
ATV, 9:18 a.m.
Deputies responded to a complaint of a garage break-in and theft of an ATV on Vandermeer Ct. NW. Investigation ongoing.
Suspicious, 8:17 a.m.
Deputy checked on two vehicles on the side of the road on Grange Rd. and Centerline Rd. NW in Buzzle Township. Appeared as they were cross country skiers using the trail.
Fire, 6:09 a.m.
Report of a vehicle on fire on Highway 89 and Aure Rd. NW in Liberty Township. Discovered to be a vehicle that had been stolen overnight.
DWI, 1:35 a.m.
Traffic stop on Highway 2 and Buttercup Ln. NW. Driver was arrested on suspicion of DWI.
FRIDAY, FEB. 28
Traffic Stop, 9:58 p.m.
Traffic stop for speed on Birchmont Beach Rd. and Bealieu Cir. NE. Driver arrested for 3rd degree DWI.
DWI, 8:29 p.m.
Traffic stop on Roosevelt Rd. and Wolf Lake Dr. SE. Driver arrested for DWI and drug possession.
Harassment, 2:24 p.m.
Report of domestic assault. One was arrested.
Warrant, 10:29 a.m.
Attempt to locate the subject of a felony warrant. Subject was arrested on the 4700 block of Bass Lake Rd. NE.
DWI, 2:41 a.m.
Traffic stop for failure to stop at a stop sign on the 15600 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Driver was arrested for 2nd degree DWI and driving after revocation.
