Bemidji Weekend Blotter: 2/3-2/6

The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Feb. 3, through Monday, Feb. 6.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

MONDAY, FEB. 6

Pursuit, 9:24 p.m.

Traffic stop at Little Norway Ave. and Roosevelt Rd. SE. One arrested.

Welfare Check, 8:01 p.m.

Officers responded to an apartment building on the 1800 block of Norton Ave. NW for a welfare check on a male lying in the laundry room. The male was intoxicated and was arrested for his warrant.

Welfare Check, 7:12 p.m.

Welfare check on a male in a common area of an apartment building on the 1800 block of Norton Ave. NW. Male arrested for a local warrant.

Traffic Stop, 6:24 p.m.

Traffic stop on the 900 block of 30th St. NW. One arrested.

Disorderly Conduct, 5:05 p.m.

Report of a disorderly female on the 100 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Female was told to quit yelling in the hallways and returned to her apartment.

Theft, 10:38 a.m.

Adult male subject stole items from the store and fled to the Best Western on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Dead Body, 6:00 a.m.

Officers responded to a medical on Birchmont Dr. NE. Subject was later determined to be deceased.

Burglary, 1:41 a.m.

Officers took a burglary report.

SUNDAY, FEB. 5

DWI, 8:12 p.m.

Traffic stop on Irvine Ave. and 29th St. NW. One arrested.

Suspicious, 5:20 p.m.

Suspicious female possibly taking child that was not hers with hour time delay on 23rd St. NW. Officer spoke with female subject who advised it was her great nephew and they were leaving the park after playing for one hour.

Suicide, 4:32 p.m.

Suicidal male transported to ER for mental health evaluation from the 400 block of Lake Shore Dr. NE.

Theft, 9:52 a.m.

Subject arrested and cited on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:02 a.m.

Officer checked the area of the 600 block of Kay Ave. SE for possible fireworks being lit off. Upon arrival, all was quiet.

SATURDAY, FEB. 4

Welfare Check, 11:07 p.m.

Officer checked on a driver who appeared to be asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle in a parking lot on the 600 block of 2nd St. SE. Driver was found to be watching videos on her phone.

Medical, 8:40 a.m.

Report of injuries on a child on Irvine Ave. NW.

FRIDAY, FEB. 3

DWI, 11:25 p.m.

Traffic stop on 4th St. and Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. Multiple arrested.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 9:29 p.m.

Officer located a stolen vehicle on Conifer Ave. and 23rd St. NW. Driver placed under arrest for DWI and receiving stolen property.

Theft, 5:35 p.m.

Report of theft of money from glove box of vehicle on Bemidji Ave. N. RP’s wife later found the money in a different location. Proof that men need women to find things.

Disorderly Conduct, 3:30 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a male ineligible to possess a firearm on the 2600 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Officers seized a rifle and arrested the subject.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 5:10 a.m.

Officer checked on a vehicle in a snowbank on Rako St. and Shoreacres Ct. SW. The vehicle was found to be unoccupied and not a traffic hazard.

Traffic Stop, 2:53 a.m.

Traffic stop for no display of registration on Irvine Ave. and 14th St. NW. Driver arrested for multiple warrants.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

MONDAY, FEB. 6

Fire, 8:30 p.m.

Deputies responded to a brush pile fire on the 26600 block of Pleasant Valley Rd. NW in Puposky.

DWI, 4:37 p.m.

DWI investigation on Highway 89 and Mayflower Rd. NW. Charges pending. One arrested.

Assault, 1:31 p.m.

Juvenile female arrested for domestic assault in Bemidji and transported to Northwest Juvenile Detention Center.

Theft, 8:56 a.m.

Theft of a portable fish house from Campbell Lake in Bemidji.

SUNDAY, FEB. 5

Weapons Offenses, 3:54 a.m.

Report of sound of gunshots on the 1200 block of Little Norway Ave. SE. Area checked and nothing found.

Disorderly Conduct, 12:06 a.m.

Report of possible gunshots in Bemidji. Found to be fireworks.

SATURDAY, FEB. 4

Medical, 10:08 p.m.

Possible overdose in Bemidji.

Assault, 9:42 p.m.

Report of assault on Adams Ave. NW. One arrested.

Weapons Offenses, 9:01 p.m.

Deputies responded to what was reported as gunshots on Graycalm Ct. SE. Later it was learned they were fireworks.

Burglary, 1:00 p.m.

Cabin burglary reported in Sugar Bush Township on the 6800 block of Maple Beach Ct. NE.

FRIDAY, FEB. 3

Medical, 6:04 p.m.

Deputies responded to an overdose in Cass Lake.

Burglary, 5:05 p.m.

Deputies responded to a burglary on the 25300 block of Conner Rd. NE in Cass Lake.

Property Damage, 8:28 a.m.

Report of unauthorized use and possible damage to a Bobcat on the 7400 block of Palace Ct. NE. Charges forwarded.
