The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, April 10, to Sunday, April 12.

BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

sunday, april 12

Disorderly Conduct, 10:54 p.m.

Caller requested a removal on the 800 block of America Ave. NW. Adult male was arrested for multiple charges.

Suspicious, 2:26 a.m.

Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle on the 1200 block of 23rd St. NW. It was determined to be a male playing Pokemon Go.

Theft, 1:13 a.m.

Assisted deputies with a stolen vehicle that had been recovered on Cardinal Rd. NW.

DWI, 12:01 a.m.

Traffic stop on the 1200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Adult female arrested for DWI.

saturday, april 11

Weapons Offenses, 9:12 p.m.

Officer responded to a report of shots fired on Birchmont Dr. NE. Upon arrival to the area, no shots were heard and the area was patrolled.

Assault, 6:57 p.m.

Officer took a report of an assault at the jail between inmates. New charges have been added.

Property Damage, 3:16 p.m.

Tire slashed on a vehicle on the 800 block of 26th St. NW.

Welfare Check, 12:54 p.m.

Caller reported ex-girlfriend was acting crazy on the telephone. Caller refused to answer return call from officer.

Theft, 12:44 p.m.

Caller reporting theft from a vehicle on the 700 block of Patriot Dr. NW.

Burglary, 10:26 a.m.

Burglary from residence on the 700 block of 37th St. NW.

Suspicious, 2:15 a.m.

Adult male arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 1000 block of 30th St. NW.

Welfare Check, 12:36 a.m.

Officer checked on a suspicious female and her cat at a local business on the 1800 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Upon arrival, female requested no assistance and was fine.

Assault, 12:16 a.m.

Adult male arrested for domestic assault.

friday, april 10

Assist, 10:04 p.m.

Officers assisted state patrol on a traffic stop on the 3800 block of Supreme Ct. NW. One male arrested.

Warrant, 9:09 p.m.

One adult male arrested on a local warrant on the 1100 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 1:35 p.m.

Caller reporting cult activity by ex-boyfriend on the 100 block of Gemmel Ave. SW.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

sunday, april 12

ATV, 4:47 p.m.

Theft of ATV reported on the 4600 block of Jenny Ln. NW.

Suspicious, 10:23 a.m.

Deputies responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on the 10000 block of Birchmont Beach Rd. NE. Occupants were playing Pokemon Go.

Suspicious, 1:13 a.m.

Suspicious ATV- Stolen truck and ATV recovered on Cardinal Rd. NW.

saturday, april 11

Suspicious, 9:47 p.m.

Passerby reported a male laying in the ditch and another male attempting to flag their vehicle down on the 16200 block of Mission Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Leech Lake Tribal Police Department officers assisted deputies in locating the male parties who were found to be in good health and refused medical attention.

Burglary, 11:58 a.m.

Burglary of seasonal residence on the 58300 block of Highway 72 in Waskish reported.

Assault, 11:47 a.m.

911 call regarding a DANCO violation revealed a second degree assault had occurred. An adult female was arrested.

Assault, 1:59 a.m.

Report of an out-of-control male fighting with his brother and others at a residence. The male was arrested for domestic assault.

friday, april 10

Suspicious, 11:51 p.m.

Car with possibly impaired driver turned away from reservation border by the Red Lake Police Department. Unable to locate.

911, 11:34 p.m.

911 open line on the 1300 block of Lynn Marie Ct. SW. After deputies’ investigation, three males were cited for underage consumption.

DWI, 11:14 p.m.

Narcotics complaint on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. One arrested for controlled substance and drug DWI and one charged with controlled substance.

Assist, 9:52 p.m.

Assist Leech Lake Tribal Police Department with an intoxicated driver on Indian Rd. and Mission Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Male arrested by LLTPD. Advised officers of current county jail restrictions.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:44 p.m.

Call back for cattle on the road on Nebish Rd. NE. Shooed away into woods by owner. Owner to check the fence line for breaks.

Assist, 8:33 p.m.

Assist CPS, four children placed on a hold.

Dead Body, 8:18 p.m.

Deputies conducted a welfare check on a residence in Beltrami County. An adult female was found deceased in her home. Investigation pending.

Hazards (dangerous), 5:55 p.m.

Report of unlawful burning of garbage on the 18100 block of Gull Lake Loop Ne in Tenstrike.

Suspicious, 12:53 a.m.

Report of a suspicious vehicle at Alder St. and Bemidji Rd. NE. Vehicle was located, occupants were identified. The vehicle was searched and released with no charges.
