The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, June 17, through Monday, June 20.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
MONDAY, JUNE 20
Welfare Check, 9:50 p.m.
Welfare check on the 900 block of 26th St. NW. An officer assisted a mother with telling her son to go to bed.
Theft, 9:35 p.m.
Officer took the report of a stolen package on the 300 block of 10th St. NW.
Assault, 7:09 p.m.
15-year-old male cited for domestic assault and obstructing legal process on Minnesota Ave. NW.
Theft, 7:03 p.m.
Officer took the report of a possible burglary on the 1200 block of Norton Ave. NW.
Traffic Stop, 6:57 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 2400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Male arrested on out-of-county warrant.
Weapons Offenses, 2:01 p.m.
Reported on the 5300 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
Family matter-non criminal, 11:14 a.m.
Officers responded to a local business on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW for a report of an unattended toddler. Upon investigation, it was discovered the toddler had run from the guardian and was found a short while later. No further actions will be taken.
Harassment, 11:11 a.m.
Renter advised that he believes people are harassing him through radio frequencies on America Ave. NW.
Assist, 8:12 a.m.
Officer spoke with a citizen reporting harassment by a neighbor on the 500 block of 21st St. NW. While speaking with the citizen it was learned the real complaint was their fence had been destroyed in a recent storm. Party was assisted and advised of options to have the fence fixed and provided a small material list.
SUNDAY, JUNE 19
Disorderly Conduct, 9:11 p.m.
Caller requested officers remove obnoxious, intoxicated female from residence on the 2500 block of Phoenix Loop NW. Subject left voluntarily when officers arrived.
Missing Person, 8:39 p.m.
Report of a child found by himself in the roadway at Anne St. and Irvine Ave. NW. Child reunited with parent.
Harassment, 5:57 p.m.
Officer took the report of mean texts sent by an ex-girlfriend on 9th St. NW. No actions were requested.
Disorderly Conduct, 5:39 p.m.
Adult female yelling and screaming obscenities on the 2300 block of Ash Ave. NW, bothering neighbor. Citation issued for disorderly conduct.
Assault, 5:05 p.m.
Officer took the report of a domestic assault on 9th St. NW.
Burglary, 9:33 a.m.
Theft of two bikes from an open garage during the night on the 2000 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.
Suspicious, 3:18 a.m.
Officer noticed a garage open with the lights on on the 2000 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. Officer attempted to call resident with no answer.
SATURDAY, JUNE 18
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 10:15 p.m.
Two passerby vehicles sustained damage from a pursuit on the 4300 block of Bass Lake Rd. NE.
Pursuit, 9:09 p.m.
Vehicle pursuit following a traffic stop at 2nd St. SE and Wood Ave. SE. One arrested.
Disturbing the Peace, 7:19 p.m.
Officers were made aware of a noisy part on the 500 block of 18th St. NW. Large number of intoxicated party-goers coming and going from residence, congregating in the street on arrival. Tenant agreed to keep noise down and bring people to backyard.
Security Check, 5:13 p.m.
Officer checked on a local business with an industrial door open on the 700 block of Industrial Park Dr. SE. Attempts were made to contact owner with no luck. Extra patrol.
Theft, 1:51 p.m.
Officer took a report of a past bicycle theft on the 1000 block of Dewey Ave. NE. Confirmed stolen bicycle was located at a local pawn shop.
Theft, 10:55 a.m.
Theft report on the 100 block of Central Ave. SE.
Property Damage, 1:07 a.m.
Caller reported girlfriend left and apartment was destroyed when he got home on 9th St. NW.
Traffic Stop, 12:44 a.m.
Traffic stop on 15th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for DWI then released to a sober party.
FRIDAY, JUNE 17
Fire, 9:24 p.m.
Officer responded to the report of a large bonfire on the 100 block of 29th St. NE.
Traffic Stop, 9:02 p.m.
Traffic stop on Irvine Ave. and Algoma St. NW. Passenger arrested on a warrant.
Assist, 6:33 p.m.
Backed up Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office at an arrest on the 900 block of 26th St. NW. No Police Department action taken. One arrested.
Welfare Check, 6:11 p.m.
Welfare check on small child walking in roadway on the 700 block of Lake Ave. NE. Child escaped from backyard, mom was present on arrival.
Assist, 6:08 p.m.
Caller reported her water being shut off by construction on the 200 block of 10th St. NE. Handled by dispatch.
Assist, 3:31 p.m.
Officer spoke with female about her kids on the 200 block of 4th St. NW.
Theft, 2:41 p.m.
Theft report on the 1700 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.
Assist, 12:47 p.m.
Officers assisted the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force and MN BCA with execution of a search warrant on the 1800 block of 5th St. Se. One adult male was arrested as a result.
Theft, 5:22 a.m.
Theft report on the 2400 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.
Suspicious, 2:33 a.m.
Suspicious person knocking on reporting party’s door on the 700 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. It was determined RP knew male subject and provided him a courtesy ride home.

Suspicious, 8:44 p.m.
Report of screaming on the 400 block of 6th St. NW in Solway. Found to be kids playing in rain puddles.
Traffic Stop, 6:54 p.m.
Driver cited for DAR and a passenger was arrested for a warrant on Jackpine Rd. and Highway 89 NW.
Theft, 10:38 a.m.
Theft report in Blackduck.
DWI, 1:08 a.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.

Suspicious, 11:47 p.m.
Report of a possible break-in of a travel trailer on the 100 block of Woods Bluff Rd. NW. Unfounded.
Assault, 6:29 p.m.
Report of a stabbing on Roosevelt Rd. SE. One female arrested.
DWI, 5:24 p.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on the 8000 block of Irvine Ave. NW.
Suspicious, 4:12 a.m.
Reported suspicious powder in the back seat of a car on the 5600 block of Alps Ct. NW. It was discovered to be sand and no further assistance was needed.

DWI, 4:53 p.m.
Traffic stop on Adams Ave. and Division St. W. Adult male arrested for drug-DWI and DAS.
Public Relations, 4:29 p.m.
Mother requested deputy presence to surprise son at graduation party on the 9700 block of Cardinal Rd. NW.
Theft, 11:13 a.m.
Stolen vehicle reported on the 300 block of Swenson Rd. SE.
Property Damage, 8:29 a.m.
Vehicle damage caused by an animal on the 10200 block of Klondike Dr. NW in Puposky.

Adult male arrested on warrants and multiple local charges on the 900 block of 26th St. NW.
Medical, 6:33 a.m.
Deputies responded to a medical/overdose in Bemidji.
