BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT

SUNDAY, JUNE 4

Suspicious, 11:16 p.m.

Officer responded to the report of an apartment with the front door ajar on Lassie Ln. SW.

Welfare Check, 7:01 p.m.

Welfare check on male lying in the grass on 19th St. and Park Ave. NW. Officer provided male a courtesy ride to his residence.

Theft, 4:17 p.m.

Theft from unlocked vehicle on the 600 block of 2nd St. SE. No suspect identified.

Family Matter-Non Criminal, 11:38 a.m.

Officers took a report of an ex-girlfriend breaking into complainant’s apartment on Confier Ave. NW.

Fire, 9:20 a.m.

Reported on the 2500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

Family Crimes, 9:19 a.m.

Officers placed three children into foster care on Irvine Ave. NW.

Medical, 8:01 a.m.

Officers responded to an overdose at a local residence on 6th St. SE. Subject transported to emergency room by medics.

Fire, 12:22 a.m.

Officers assisted Bemidji Fire with a residential fire on the 4000 block of Bemidji Ave. N.

SATURDAY, JUNE 3

Harassment, 7:06 p.m.

Adult male harassing 911 dispatchers.

Fire, 6:50 p.m.

Reported on the 1800 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. Handled by Bemidji Fire Department.

Theft, 12:48 p.m.

Theft of laundry reported on the 600 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Pending video.

Suspicious, 12:05 p.m.

Officer responded to Miles Ave. SE to a possible assault situation. Upon arrival, it was found to be two juveniles goofing around. No criminal activity.

Property Damage, 9:00 a.m.

Damage to a headstone at a local cemetery on Bemidji Ave. N.

Suspicious, 3:50 a.m.

Suspicious person knocking on windows on Irvine Ave. NW. Male was trying to wake up his relative.

Assist, 12:43 a.m.

Assist Hubbard County SO with a traffic stop on Washington Ave. and Highway 2 SE. One arrested.

FRIDAY, JUNE 2

Suspicious, 11:56 p.m.

Suspicious person outside house on Stoner Ave. SE.

Disorderly Conduct, 11:41 p.m.

Adult female reported three people wanted to fight her on 3rd St. NW.

Disorderly Conduct, 10:57 p.m.

Report of people on a roof on the 300 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Unable to locate.

Disorderly Conduct, 8:41 p.m.

Male possibly under the influence on Hannah Ave. NW. Officer arrested male for outstanding warrants and false name.

Assist, 7:53 p.m.

Boys stalking a juvenile female on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Unable to locate the boys when officers arrived.

Accident, 7:29 p.m.

Motorcycle vs. pickup accident on Bemidji Ave. and 2nd St. NW.

DWI, 3:21 a.m.

Traffic stop on 23rd St. and Middle School Dr. NW. Multiple individuals placed under arrest.

Weapons Offenses, 12:50 a.m.

Officer responded to the report of possible gun shots on the 2700 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Officer responded to the area and did not observe any criminal activity.

Welfare Check, 12:30 a.m.

Welfare check on adult male on 5th Street and America Ave. NW. He was involved in mutual combat earlier in the evening. Male individual did not wish to proceed with charges or speak with law enforcement.

BELTRAMI COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

SUNDAY, JUNE 4

Disturbing the Peace, 7:26 p.m.

Report of loud music/people on a pontoon around Bemidji. Occupants quieted down upon deputy’s arrival.

Fire, 3:56 p.m.

Truck fire on private property on Corlan Rd. NE in Blackduck. Vehicle fully engulfed, no injuries.

Animal, 1:11 p.m.

Observed dog tied to a tree without water or food on a 90 degree day. Written warning issued on Archery Rd. NW.

Other, 9:55 a.m.

Report of extortion/blackmail using a social media app and explicit photographs in Bemidji.

Accident, 8:54 a.m.

Complaint of a single motorcycle accident with personal injury on Chokecherry Dr. and Long Lake Dr. NE. One adult male transported to the Sanford Medical Center for injuries sustained from the accident.

Disturbing the Peace, 12:54 a.m.

Reported female talking to herself on Roosevelt Rd. SE. Deputy provided courtesy ride.

SATURDAY, JUNE 3

Disorderly Conduct, 11:16 p.m.

Female arrested for violating Order for Protection on Theater Ln. NW.

Suspicious, 11:06 p.m.

Male assault suspect returned home on Okerlund Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Male was arrested and a search warrant was conducted at his residence.

Assist, 9:30 p.m.

Courtesy ride for individuals who planned a water tubing expedition poorly on Power Dam Rd. and Peninsula Ct. NE.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 8:39 p.m.

Report of a vehicle that ran off the road then struck a power box on Ten Lake Trl. and Cherry Blossom Ln. NE. The vehicle left the area and was located entering the city of Bemidji. One male arrested for DWI and fifth-degree possession.

Property Damage, 7:57 p.m.

Reported damaged property on Alps Ct. NW. Juveniles breaking windows.

Welfare Check, 7:19 p.m.

Welfare check on a juvenile found by MN DNR to have open sores on extremities in Kelliher. Parents confirmed sores were from bug bites and they were being treated.

Traffic Stop, 7:06 p.m.

Stood by while State Patrol arrested female driver for DWI on 3rd St. NW.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 5:19 p.m.

Anonymous report of three off-road vehicles traveling recklessly through a campground on Paper Birch Dr. NE in Tenstrike. Unable to locate/gone on arrival.

Theft, 11:18 a.m.

Complaint of a package being taken by a known individual after it had been delivered to an apartment in Blackduck.

Traffic Stop, 8:50 a.m.

Traffic stop, warning for failure to maintain lane on Lake Ave. and Heather Ln. NE. Subject found to be avoiding dead fox in roadway. Hazard removed.

FRIDAY, JUNE 2

Weapons Offenses, 10:18 p.m.

Deputies responded to Okerlund Rd. SE in Cass Lake for a domestic assault involving a firearm.

Suspicious, 9:31 p.m.

Report of a juvenile female being grabbed by a male party. One juvenile female arrested for an active warrant in Cass Lake.

Disorderly Conduct, 7:04 p.m.

Reported disorderly male on Carr Lake Rd. SW. Male was found to not be causing an issue. Female employee with RV was upset about missing cat. Cat was located. RV was removed by owner from property.

Assault, 5:45 p.m.

Harassment issues leading to an assault on Carmen Dr. NW. One arrested.

Burglary, 1:22 p.m.

Deputy took a report of burglary on Grange Rd. NW.

Warrant, 12:01 a.m.

Assist Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office with a male with active warrants who ran into the woods on N Plantagenet Rd. SE. Unable to locate.
