The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Aug. 11, through Monday, Aug. 15.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
MONDAY, AUG. 15
Suicide, 10:51 p.m.
Officers assisted county with a suicidal male on Roosevelt Rd. SE.
Suicide, 10:32 p.m.
Officers responded to a suicidal female on Lake Shore Dr. NE. Female brought to hospital by friends.
Welfare Check, 10:23 p.m.
Second-hand request of a welfare check on a female being chased by multiple people on the 100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Officers searched the area extensively but were unable to locate persons.
Animal, 8:53 p.m.
Caller advised of a rabid skunk terrorizing the neighborhood on the 1000 block of 3rd St. SE. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate it. Referred to CSO.
Violations/Court Orders, 8:07 p.m.
Male arrested on DANCO violation on 15th St. and Irvine Ave. NW.
Suspicious, 7:28 p.m.
Suspicious persons report on the 1000 block of Washington Ave. S. Subjects were a church group handing out flyers. No identification needed.
Assault, 5:09 p.m.
Officers responded to a property damage/domestic assault call at a local residence on Wood Ave. SE.
Sex Crimes, 2:52 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault on Ridgeway Ave. NW.
Suspicious, 11:11 a.m.
Adult male arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.
Suspicious, 4:10 a.m.
Caller reported an unknown person banging at her door in the early AM on the 1000 block of Mississippi Ave. NW. Neighbor witnessed a party flee from the area just prior to officer’s arrival. Officers searched the area but didn’t find anyone.
Suspicious, 1:35 a.m.
Report of a suspicious house with a suspicious porch light on 14th St. and Beltrami Ave. NW.
Welfare Check, 12:15 a.m.
Officers responded to a welfare check of two possibly impaired subjects making weird statements on the 1300 block of Anne St. NW. Subjects needed no assistance and left the area.
SUNDAY, AUG. 14
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 11:38 p.m.
Caller observed two subjects enter a vehicle and take something on Mississippi Ave. and 9th St. NW. Investigation ongoing.
Assult, 11:09 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of an assault on the 300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. One arrested.
Burglary, 12:57 p.m.
Burglary report on the 1100 block of 12th St. NW.
Suspicious, 10:41 a.m.
Report of two males running out of the bushes on 1st St. E. and Paul Bunyan Dr. SE. Gone on arrival/unable to locate.
Violations/Court Orders, 4:02 a.m.
Officers conducted a traffic stop for equipment violations on 23rd St. NE and Bemidji Ave. N. Driver was arrested for violation of a domestic abuse-no contact order.
Suspicious, 3:43 a.m.
Caller reported seeing a subject on surveillance cameras messing with outdoor faucets at a closed business on the 2300 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Officers searched the area but found nobody present.
Weapons Offenses, 12:07 a.m.
Officers responded to a local apartment complex on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. for possible shots fired call. One arrested.
Property Damage, 12:07 a.m.
Caller reported a rock was thrown through her living room window on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW.
SATURDAY, AUG. 13
Disorderly Conduct, 10:40 p.m.
Officers responded to an assault on 26th St. NW. Two juveniles arrested.
Agency Assist, 9:02 p.m.
Call handled by the Sheriff’s Office on the 3000 block of Bemidji Ave. N. One arrested.
DWI, 8:37 p.m.
Adult female arrested for DWI on 10th St. and Beltrami Ave. NW.
Assault, 1:14 p.m.
Report of possible child abuse at Maytag on the 600 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.
Deady Body, 12:33 p.m.
Officers responded to a deceased individual on Beltrami Ave. NW.
FRIDAY, AUG. 12
Robbery, 9:59 p.m.
Officer took the report of an assault and robbery on the 300 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
DWI, 8:52 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 3300 block of Cedar Ln. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.
Assault, 8:41 p.m.
Officers took an assault report. One arrested.
Burglary, 5:44 p.m.
Burglary reported on the 200 block of 13th St. NE.

Traffic stop on Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested on a warrant.
Assault, 3:55 p.m.
Officers responded to a domestic assault on Lake Shore Dr. NE. One arrested.
Accident, 3:57 p.m.
Officer came upon a three-vehicle accident on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Irvine Ave. NW. No injuries.
Disorderly Conduct, 3:25 a.m.
Officers spoke with tenants about discharging a BB gun in the backyard on the 1700 block of America Ave. NW.
THURSDAY, AUG. 11
Welfare Check, 8:49 p.m.
Officer located a missing person on the 1200 block of 23rd St. NW. The individual was found to be in good spirits and did not require any assistance.
Suspicious, 1:40 p.m.
Neighbor concerned about “stuff” on a property on the 700 block of Mississippi Ave. NW that may be occupied by homeless people.
Theft, 12:30 p.m.
Laptop reported stolen from BSU on the 1800 block of Birch Ln. NE.
Suspicious, 12:01 p.m.
Report of vehicles with trunk open on the 300 block of Irvine Ave. NW. Officer closed the trunk. The case–like the trunk–is closed.
Disorderly Conduct, 11:23 a.m.
Report of male sleeping in Burger King bathroom on the 2500 block of Hannah Ave. NW. Party was woken up and he moved along without incident.
Disorderly Conduct, 12:48 a.m.
Officers responded to a removal request on the 900 block of Lake Shore Dr. NE. Subject placed under arrest for multiple violations.

Warrant, 8:17 p.m.
Beltrami County warrant arrest on Highway 2.
Suspicious, 7:32 p.m.
Report of people dropping items off of bridge and onto Highway 2. Area checked, unable to locate.
Assist, 2:38 a.m.
Deputy assisted Hubbard County with a traffic stop. One arrested on Highway 71 and County 9.
DWI, 2:18 a.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Released. Charges pending.

One arrested on Lumberjack Rd. and Farmer Dr. NW in Puposky.
Assault, 7:06 p.m.
Report of an alleged assault. One adult male taken into custody for probable cause of DWI, and one adult female arrested for probable cause of domestic assault.
Theft, 2:39 p.m.
Stolen vehicle report on the 20300 block of Old Buckhorn Ln. NE in Hines.
Littering, 9:28 a.m.
Littering/deposit garbage on private property on the 23700 block of Pass Rd. Ne in HInes. Three juvenile suspects identified. Parents notified.
Suicide, 2:49 a.m.
Report of a suicide attempt in progress. Individual was alert and conscious, transported to hospital by EMS.
Assault, 12:36 a.m.
Report of an assault on the 17800 block of Old Grouse Rd. NW.
Agency Assist, 12:07 a.m.
Arrest and citation for fleeing a peace officer and minor consumption don’t he 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW.

Property Damage, 10:13 p.m.
Report of a residence being egged by juveniles on the 1200 block of Porcupine Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Handled by the LLTPD.
DWI, 10:02 p.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on Irvine Ave. and Centerpoint Ct. NW.
Fire, 9:47 p.m.
Large fire reported on the 3600 block of Scribner Rd. NW in Wilton. Fire was under control and permitted.
Suspicious, 9:02 p.m.
Adult male taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant on the 3000 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
Disorderly Conduct, 6:19 p.m.
Male party arrested for property damage on Roosevelt Rd. and Wolf Lake Dr. SE. Found to also have an out-of-county warrant.
Accident, 3:40 p.m.
Two-vehicle crash on the 12700 block of Cardinal Rd. NW. Occupants of one of the vehicle fled on foot after the crash. One arrested.
DWI, 3:11 a.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on the 9200 block of Irvine Ave. NW.
Assault, 2:46 a.m.
Male arrested for domestic assault on Tawanaville Ln. SE in Cass Lake.
FRIDAY, AUG. 12
DWI, 9:43 p.m.
Traffic stop on Irvine Ave. and Lake Julia Dr. NW. Driver arrested for drug-DWI. Two arrests made in total.
Random, 9:31 p.m.
DWI court compliance check on Tom Jefferson Dr. NW in Solway. Unable to make contact. Left voicemail. Party called back later and said they were gaming and didn’t hear deputy.
Burglary, 1:13 p.m.
Deputy received an informational report of a possible burglary on the 27500 block of Markus Rd. NE in Puposky.
Harassment, 10:42 a.m.
Caller reported a prank call on the 3700 block of Mill St. NE. Called number used and it is inactive.
Assist, 10:13 a.m.
Assist RLPD with a missing person in Debs. Searched Balm Lake, Clearwater Lake, Moose Lake and Sand Lake areas. Unable to locate.
THURSDAY, AUG. 11
Warrant, 9:02 p.m.
Male arrested on an outstanding warrant on the 4700 block of Deervine Trl. NE. in Tenstrike.
Welfare Check, 8:46 p.m.
Anonymous complaint of young children left at home without any adult supervision on Whisper Ln. NW. Report will be forwarded to Beltrami County Health and Human Services for a review.
Burglary, 12:54 p.m.
Burglary of a dwelling on the 4100 block of Blue Mayflower Rd. NW. Pending investigation.
Alarm, 10:39 a.m.
Homeowner cooking on the 5700 block of Island View Dr. NE. False alarm.
