The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Aug. 5, to Sunday, Aug. 8.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, AUG. 8
Disorderly Conduct, 5:44 p.m.
Report of a disturbance in a vehicle on the 4500 block of Birchmont Dr. NE. Officer located the vehicle and spoke with occupants who reported they had a verbal disagreement. Passenger had an outstanding warrant–arrested on warrant only. No new charges.
Warrant, 4:45 p.m.
A male was arrested on several warrants on the 1000 block of Birchmont Dr. NE.
Theft, 1:57 p.m.
Reported theft from a vehicle on the 900 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.
Medical, 11:56 a.m.
Medical on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Subject paranoid from possible drug use. Transported by ambulance.
Found, 11:50 a.m.
Abandoned stroller and personal items on the 500 block of Minnesota Ave. NW. Believed to belong to a homeless person, left on site in case person returns.
SATURDAY, AUG. 7
Medical, 10:14 p.m.
Officer responded to a report of an overdose on the 100 block of 12th St. NW. Individual was transported to the hospital.
Weapons Offenses, 7:19 p.m.
Officers responded to the report of multiple shots fired at an apartment complex on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. One juvenile arrested.
Violations/Court Orders, 6:13 p.m.
Male arrested for violating a DANCO on Bemidji Ave. N.
Fire, 5:13 p.m.
Grass fire extinguished by citizens on the 500 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S.
Fire, 4:15 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a grass fire on the 2400 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Bemidji Fire arrived and put out the fire. No one was cited.
Warrant, 9:59 a.m.
Boyfriend called in his girlfriend–she had an outstanding warrant. Officer arrested female on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S and transported to jail. No new charges.
Assault, 3:26 a.m.
Officer responded to a report of a domestic assault on Roosevelt Rd. SE. One male arrested.
DWI, 2:14 a.m.
Traffic stop on 8th St. NW. Driver arrested for DWI.
Traffic Stop, 1:24 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 1100 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. S. Passenger arrested on a warrant.
FRIDAY, AUG. 6
Theft, 10:03 a.m.
Report of stolen vehicle on the 2000 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Determined unfounded as the vehicle was located in the parking lot.
Suspicious, 8:37 a.m.
Officer received information about stolen property on the 1300 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Search warrant executed. One fugitive located and arrested. No new charges at this time.
DWI, 12:12 a.m.
Traffic stop on the 1600 block of Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for DWI.
THURSDAY, AUG. 5
Suspicious, 10:36 p.m.
An officer observed a suspicious male carrying a sword on the 200 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. The male was later arrested on warrants.
Burglary, 5:32 p.m.
An officer responded to a burglary of a garage and vehicle on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW.
Theft, 2:57 p.m.
Theft from vehicle reported on the 1700 block of Bemidji Ave. N.
Disorderly Conduct, 2:25 p.m.
Adult male arrested on outstanding warrants out of Polk and Morrison counties.
Burglary, 2:12 p.m.
Report of a stolen laptop on the 700 block of Grant Ave. SE.
Property Damage, 12:24 p.m.
Report of two slashed tires on the 2100 block of Harrison Ct. SW.
Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 11:33 a.m.
Reckless vehicle complaint on the 1300 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. NW. Vehicle located and driver arrested by Minnesota State Patrol troopers.
Burglary, 9:24 a.m.
Theft from garage reported on the 1200 block of 30th St. NW.
Burglary, 8:35 a.m.
Report of a detached garage stall broken into and items missing on the 1200 block of 30th ST. NW.
DWI, 12:35 a.m.
Traffic stop on 10th St. and Bemidji Ave. N. Driver arrested for DWI.

SUNDAY, AUG. 8
Welfare Check, 2:53 p.m.
A male was arrested for DWI on Wilton Hill Rd. and Juneberry Rd. NW.
Assist, 2:01 p.m.
Deputies responded to a stolen ATV on Cardinal Rd. and Loganah Ln. NW. The ATV was located after a brief search. The complainant misjudged where he parked it.
Robbery, 1:05 p.m.
Reported on the 4700 block of Allens Bay Dr. SE in Cass Lake.
Burglary, 10:30 a.m.
Report of a residential burglary on the 5500 block of Sundown Rd. NW in Solway. Under investigation.
Traffic Stop, 1:39 a.m.
Driver arrested for DWI on the 400 block of Paul Bunyan Dr. SE.

Suspicious, 11:17 p.m.
Report of suspicious person on the 1000 block of Maple Ridge Ct. NW. Later found to be a roommate.
Suspicious, 10:54 p.m.
Subject of warrant arrested on the 2100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE.
Warrant, 4:08 a.m.
Two arrested on the 4400 block of Washington Ave. S.

Caller arrested for DOC warrant and obstruction on the 29000 block of Cass River Rd. SE in Pennington.

Report of an accidental gunshot wound on the 16900 block of Shotley Rd. NE in Kelliher.
DWI, 4:51 a.m.
Traffic stop on Paul Bunyan Dr. and Highway 71 NW. Male arrested for fourth-degree DWI.
Warrant, 1:20 a.m.
Two people arrested on felony warrants on the 400 block of Archery Rd. NW.
Suspicious, 12:12 a.m.
Deputy checked on a vehicle on the 8900 block of Farley Dr. NE. Was found to be two parties star gazing.
THURSDAY, AUG. 5
Weapons Offenses, 10:42 p.m.
Possible gunshot heard on the 12200 block of Centerline Rd. NW in Solway. Deputy spoke with male about animals in his neighborhood.
911, 8:46 p.m.
iPhone practiced its Emergency SOS feature without telling its owner. All was well on the 1100 block of Oak Hills Rd. SW.
Fire, 5:26 p.m.
Small fire involving grass and one tree on the 15600 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Fire was promptly extinguished. Handled by Leech Lake Tribal Police Department and Leech Lake Fire Department.
Theft, 3:48 p.m.
Report of stolen beer, vodka and eggs from outside refrigerator on the 2400 block of Royal Estates Rd. NE.
Suspicious, 1:11 p.m.
Dispute between townhall members on the 19100 block of Lake Julia Dr. NW.
Weapons Offenses, 12:27 p.m.
Report of gunshots in the distance on the 14500 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Unable to locate.
