The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Sept. 11, to Sunday, Sept. 13.



Burglary, 5:10 p.m.

Officer responded to the 1100 block of Irvine Ave. NW on report of a burglary.

Theft, 9:16 a.m.

Report of a stolen campaign sign from yard on Lake Blvd. NE.

Theft, 6:49 a.m.

Report of theft of a campaign sign on the 400 block of Lincoln Ave. SE.

Disorderly Conduct, 6:00 a..m

One arrested on the 1400 block of Beltrami Ave. NW.

Suspicious, 3:41 a.m.

Officer checked on loud yelling coming from an apartment on the 2800 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW. Subject was playing video games. Nothing needed.


Theft, 6:54 p.m.

Reported theft of a flip phone.

Burglary, 9:15 a.m.

Burglary reported on the 2500 block of Irvine Ave. NW.


Assault, 8:44 p.m.

Assault complaint on the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N. An adult male was arrested on several charges.

Theft, 5:50 p.m.

Sometime over the past several days complainant’s John Persell and Rita Albrecht campaign signs were stolen from front yard on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Rd. SE. Some of neighbor’s signs are missing as well. Extra patrol request added to roll call.

Found, 4:58 p.m.

Abandoned clock found in the woods on Carr Lake Rd. SE. No matching stolen records, reporting party advised she can keep clock.

DWI, 2:44 a.m.

Officer performed traffic stop on Bemidji Ave. N. Driver subsequently arrested for DUI.



Accident, 1:07 p.m.

One vehicle crash with injuries reported on the 13900 block of Birchmont Beach Rd. NE.


Fire, 8:20 p.m.

Deputy responded to a brush pile fire on Pine Circle Ct. and Monarch Dr. SW that was found to be permitted.

Theft, 6:45 p.m.

Theft of political signs.

Theft, 9:50 a.m.

Deputy took a report of theft on the 1600 block of Scenic Highway NE in Pennington.

Vehicle Calls/Complaints, 3:37 a.m.

Assist Leech Lake Tribal with DWI investigation on Bald Eagle Dr. and Andrusia Rd. SE in Cass Lake. One arrested.


Assault, 7:38 p.m.

Male placed under arrest after Deputy responded to a reported domestic assault in Solway.

911, 1:06 p.m.

Accidental 911 call from a 4-year-old trying to take a picture of a cat.
