The following is a summary of incidents the Bemidji Police Department and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Friday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 25.
BEMIDJI POLICE DEPARTMENT
SUNDAY, SEPT. 25
Traffic Stop, 11:55 p.m.
Traffic stop for DAR on Lake Ave. and Mill St. NE. Passenger arrested for a warrant. Driver cited.
Assault, 4:53 p.m.
Adult male arrested for domestic assault on 30th St. NW. Two children placed on protective holds.
Weapons Offenses, 12:01 p.m.
Officers responded to the 400 block of Bemidji Ave. N on report of a male making threats with a knife. One adult male was arrested for the offense.
Theft, 8:29 a.m.
Arrested one adult female for theft and an outstanding warrant at Wal-Mart.
Assist, 2:07 a.m.
Traffic accident on 4th St. SE. Driver arrested for DWI.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 24
Weapons Offenses, 11:05 p.m.
Officers responded to the 2400 block of Ridgeway Ave. NW on a report of shots fired. One arrested and cited.
Welfare Check, 10:44 p.m.
Two persons observed laying in roadway on Minnesota Ave. and 5th St. NW. Subjects brought to ER by EMS.
Disorderly Conduct, 5:34 p.m.
Male attempted to enter caller’s home on the 1100 block of Beltrami Ave. NW. Gone upon arrival.
Theft, 4:02 p.m.
Stolen checkbook from complainant’s vehicle on the 100 block of Lincoln Ave. SE.
Assist, 12:28 p.m.
Court-ordered civil standby on the 200 block of 9th St. NW. Some property was retrieved, however individual on bicycle could not transport all personal property. Referred back to courts for final retrieval.
Family matter-non criminal, 10:56 a.m.
Assist and advise, daughter would not give up cell phone on 3rd St. SE. Mother was advised of several different options. Mother contacted Evergreen shelter, however, there was no room available.
Welfare Check, 1:07 a.m.
Complainant requested welfare check for lady screaming in alley on the 800 block of 10th St. NW. Gone upon arrival.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 23
Medical, 11:11 p.m.
Possible overdose on prescription medication on Delton Ave. NW. Medication was prescribed to subject. Transported by EMS.
Disorderly Conduct, 10:54 p.m.
Officers responded to a removal on the 800 block of 26th ST. NW. Subject arrested for trespass after refusing to leave.
Suspicious, 9:30 p.m.
Caller had unknown persons repeatedly knocking on door and leaving on the 4000 block of Apex St. NW. Extra patrol requested.
Theft, 3:15 p.m.
Officer took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle on the 900 block of 6th St. SE.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 25
Fire, 7:48 p.m.
Reported on the 2300 block of Ruby Ln. NE.
Assault, 6:49 p.m.
Deputies responded to a domestic assault on Porcupine Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Two arrested.
Agency Assist, 2:07 a.m.
Two-vehicle accident on 4th St. SE. One female driver arrested for DWI.
DWI, 2:08 a.m.
Traffic stop on vehicle leaving the scene of a crash on the 800 block of Washington Ave. S. Driver arrested for DWI and leaving the scene of crash.
DWI, 12:45 a.m.
Adult arrested for DWI on Lake Ave. and Power Dam Rd. NE.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 24
DWI, 6:11 p.m.
Deputies responded to animal complaint on the 3300 block of Windy Hill Ln. SW. Driver arrested for DWI.
Pursuit, 5:36 p.m.
Assist Red Lake PD with a vehicle pursuit that came off the reservation on Highway 89 in Grygla. Multiple parties arrested.
Weapons Offenses, 7:49 a.m.
Complaint of a hunter being allegedly shot at while waterfowl hunting near Birchmont Beach Rd. NE.
Disturbing the Peace, 2:21 a.m.
Report of a noise complaint on the 7600 block of Birchmont Beach Rd. NE. Multiple parties cited for minor consumption.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 23
DWI, 11:49 p.m.
Adult arrested for DWI, false name and warrant on Mission Rd. and Quill Ln. SE in Cass Lake.
DWI, 10:10 p.m.
Traffic stop on the 16300 block of Mission Rd. SE in Cass Lake. Driver arrested for DWI and fifth-degree possession.
Assist, 12:45 p.m.
Request for assistance in a motor vehicle pursuit on Middle School Dr. and Paul Bunyan Dr. NW.
