Bemidji woman rear-ended on Highway 10 after braking for ducks

A Bemidji woman was in a minor crash on Highway 10 while braking for ducks Thursday afternoon.

According to the State Patrol, the 22-year-old woman stopped her Dodge Caravan in the westbound traffic lane near Little Falls for an unspecified number of ducks when she was rear-ended by a Ford F150.

Her 42-year-old passenger was transported to St. Gabriel’s for non-life-threatening injuries, with no other injuries reported.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
