Bemidji’s playgrounds, beaches, the skatepark, courts and the disc golf course are all open for use, however, users are reminded to exercise caution and practice CDC guidelines such as maintaining a distance of six feet from others not in your house hold or group, washing hands, carrying hand sanitizers, and avoiding parks and trails when exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
Users of Bemidji’s parks are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles and to time their outings so they’re not dependent on public restrooms.
Portable toilets will be phased in at the parks, beginning with high use park areas, and Parks and Rec Director Marcia Larson says they’ll be disinfected once per day.
