A former Republican Representative of District 5A is expected to hold a kick-off event for his campaign.
According to a release, Former Representative Matt Bliss’ event will be held at the Beltrami Republican Headquarters, on 142 Paul Bunyan Drive, from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Bliss won an election against DFL-er John Persell in 2016, but narrowly lost the election in 2018 to Persell.
“After spending months setting the stage for my campaign to return to the Minnesota House, I am eager to hit the ground running as we officially get started,” Bliss said.
“I look forward to representing the great people of House District 5A so we can continue working on important issues such as reducing the high cost of health care and supporting our veterans.”
