Body found in Swatara, believed to be missing woman

AITKIN COUNTY– Investigators believe they have found the body of the missing 35-year-old Outing woman, Michelle Mae.

Her vehicle, a black Jeep, was found in the area of Swatara in Aitkin County earlier this month, and yesterday afternoon, Aitkin County deputies discovered a body on a private property, also in Swatara.

Mae has been missing out of Cass County since Oct. 3. According to a release from Aitkin County Deputy Sheriff Dan Guida, the body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy and formal identification. Multiple agencies assisted in the extensive search.
