Brooklyn Park man drowns in Hubbard County lake

A Brooklyn Park man recently drowned in a Hubbard County lake.

Sheriff Corey Aukes says 65-year-old Bruce Moore was in a small fishing boat last Monday then fell into the water.

Witnesses heard a loud bang and saw the boat spinning in circles on Little Mantrap Lake.

Bystanders attempted to throw Moore a life jacket but he went under before he could grab it.

The Lakes Area Dive team found Moore’s body in 16 feet of water after a 30-minute search.
