BSU President responds to article about former softball coach

By: News Director Larissa Donovan

BEMIDJI– Bemidji State University president Faith Hensrud recently issued a statement in response to a Bemidji Pioneer article about a former softball coach.

The article outlines several instances of inappropriate behavior towards female student athletes from the coach, Rick Supinski, and a lack of action by the university.

Hensrud said the university follows policies and procedures when it comes to harassment allegations, and the university must follow the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act for any individual investigation.
