The Cass County Sheriff’s Office began removal of all navigational buoys and markers from area lakes last Friday.
According to a release, some area lake associations had started the process prior to Friday.
Boaters, anglers and hunters should use caution and become familiar with the lakes they intend to travel on.
The buoys will be inspected, cleaned, repaired and stored over the winter months.
