SWAN RIVER- There was a motor vehicle crash in Itasca County late last night. The Kenworth Semi was traveling north on Highway 65, attempting to cross over Highway 2 in Swan River MN.
The Kenworth, which failed to yield, stopped in the lane of traffic to avoid a Chevy Cavalier, causing the Cavalier to swerve into the northbound ditch. The Cavalier came to rest in the ditch after avoiding contact with the semi.
There were three passengers in the Cavalier, all received non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at Grand Itasca. The roads were dry, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this crash.
