CARES Act funding grants available to Beltrami County nonprofits

Beltrami County and Greater Bemidji are announcing a new grant program for non-profit organizations.

According to a release, the funding is from CARES Act dollars allocated to the county, with Greater Bemidji acting as the facilitator.

Charitable organizations with a 501 (c)(3) classification may apply for grants between $1,000 and $10,000 to specifically cover expenses related to COVID-19, such as purchases of PPE, improvements and equipment to enable social distancing, cleaning supplies, marketing materials and more.

These expenses may be already incurred or anticipated to be incurred by November 15.

Applications will be accepted now through Oct. 4, with award notifications and funding coming quickly thereafter.

More information and eligibility requirements are available at Greater Bemidji’s website.
