The CEO of Sanford Health stepped down yesterday.
According to a release, the agreement was mutual between Kelby Krabbenhoft and Sanford Health.
Krabbenhoft made headlines last week when he told employees that since he already recovered from COVID-19, he wouldn’t wear a facial covering.
Sanford released a statement shortly afterward saying that his views did not reflect the Sanford organization.
Sanford Health’s Board of Trustees has appointed Bill Gassen president and CEO of Sanford Health.
Gassen has been with the organization since 2012, most recently serving as chief administrative officer. His appointment is effective immediately.
