City accepting proposals for watercraft and bike rentals at TIC

The city of Bemidji is requesting proposals to operate a watercraft and bike rental at the Tourist Information Center, now that the Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce is no longer in the building.

According to a note in the city’s newsletter, the watercraft rentals may include pontoons, kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards.

The rental concessionaire will be expected to provide access to tourism materials and the information center free of charge to the public.

They’ll also assist in promoting tourism, business, industry and goodwill in Bemidji and the surrounding areas.

A full copy of the request for proposals is available on the city’s website.
