City Archery Deer Hunt applications due July 31

The City of Bemidji is now taking applications for the special archery deer hunt this fall.

The three hunts, at the Bemidji Regional Airport, Northeast Lake Bemidji in Ward 5, and west Bemidji in Ward 4, will follow the regular state archery deer season, which runs September 19 through December 31.

Participants will be allowed to harvest five deer, and will need the appropriate license. Applications are available on the city website and are due with a $10 fee by Friday, July 31.

Depending on the number of applications received for any hunt, a lottery drawing may be held in order to determine which applicants will receive a permit.
