Clean up underway after devastating storm sweeps through Deer River

Power has been restored to most of the City of Deer River after a devastating storm swept through yesterday.

City officials posted online that 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue Northeast will remain closed until further notice.

Images of the initial aftermath of the storm depict torn-off roofs, dismantled garages and numerous trees and power lines down.
