The Bemidji City Council will consider declaring a vacancy and ordering a special election to fill former council member Mike Beard’s position.
Last week, Beard resigned, effective immediately, citing health concerns as his reason for stepping down. Beard represented Ward 2.
The council, during their meeting Monday evening, will also hold a public hearing on the 2020 Street Renewal Project, and a public hearing to consider an application for the Minnesota Small Cities Development Program.
