COVID-19 at-home rapid tests available through the state

Minnesotans can now order at-home rapid COVID-19 tests.

The federal administration has made two rounds of free home tests available through the United States Postal Service earlier this year, and now Minnesotans can place their orders through the state.

According to a release, two tests kits can be ordered per home for a total of four tests online.

Orders can also be placed through the Minnesota Department of Health’s COVID-19 Public Hotline at 1-833-431-2053.

“We know the importance of being able to deliver tests quickly and efficiently,” said Department of Administration Commissioner Alice Roberts-Davis.

“The easy online ordering site developed in partnership with Care Evolution is proven and scalable to meet the needs of Minnesotans who are experiencing symptoms and want to ensure the health of themselves and those around them.”

While most COVID-19 testing is no longer performed at Sanford Bemidji, the Bemidji National Guard Armory provides saliva testing Monday through Friday with results within 24-48 hours.
