Beltrami County Public Health Director Megan Heuer said Thursday afternoon that the county is monitoring 204 active cases of COVID-19.
Fifteen COVID patients are currently occupying local hospital beds, with eight of those being Beltrami County residents.
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 3,805 new COVID cases Thursday and 39 new deaths.
One of those deaths was a Clearwater County resident in their late 70s.
Of the new cases reported Thursday, 24 were in Beltrami County, 15 were in Cass County, five were in Clearwater County, and nine were in Hubbard County.
On Friday, MDH reported 3,854 new cases and 54 new deaths.
One of those deaths was a Hubbard County resident in their late 80s.
Twenty-four new cases were reported in Beltrami County Friday, 26 in Cass County, six in Clearwater County, and 12 in Hubbard County.
Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 8,577 cases and 105 deaths, Cass County has had 5,256 cases and 59 deaths, Clearwater County has had 1,660 cases and 24 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 3,715 cases and 51 deaths.
