Beltrami County Public Health Director Megan Heuer confirmed that one of the latest victims of COVID-19 was a teenager.
State data says this is the third teen COVID-19 death in the state.
As of Friday afternoon, the county was monitoring 243 active cases of COVID-19, with 20 COVID-19 patients occupying local hospital beds.
Thirteen of those patients were Beltrami County residents.
Heuer says there have been 100 COVID-19 deaths in Beltrami County to date.
MDH reported 6,122 new COVID-19 cases and 38 deaths Monday.
One of those new deaths was a Cass County resident over the age of 100.
Of those new cases, 36 were in Beltrami County, 26 were in Cass County, four were in Clearwater County and 17 were in Hubbard County.
