COVID updates for Tuesday, Sept. 14

Beltrami County Public Health Director Megan Heuer reports that as of this morning, there are 207 active COVID-19 cases within the county. Eleven local hospital beds are being used for COVID patients, with eight of them being Beltrami County residents.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 2,693 new COVID cases Monday and 11 new deaths.

Of those deaths, one was a Beltrami County resident in their late 50s and one was a Cass County resident in their early 70s.

Of those cases, 40 were Beltrami County residents, 30 were Cass County, one was a Clearwater resident and 16 were in Hubbard County.

Cases reported Monday are generally collected from data submitted Friday. Cases reported Tuesday generally include information gathered over the weekend.

Today, MDH is reporting 4,603 new cases and 12 new deaths.

Forty-six of the new cases were in Beltrami County, 26 were in Cass County, nine were in Clearwater County and 23 were in Hubbard County.
