Detroit man arrested in Cass Lake drug bust

CASS LAKE– A Detroit, Michigan man was arrested last Friday on suspicion of first degree drug sales charges after an operation by the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force and Leech Lake Tribal Police Department.

According to a release, agents conducted numerous controlled purchases of heroin from people in a Prescott Housing residence in Cass Lake over a period of time, and were able to arrest James Lionel McRunels, also known as “Little.”

Agents will continue to look for other people involved with sales of drugs from this residence.
