DHS once again under fire for improper handling of contracts

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is once again under fire after the discovery of improper handling of contracts and grants.

According to an article in the Star Tribune, the violations involved $52 million worth of services, where in most cases, DHS staff worked with outside vendors without any finalized or legal contracts.

The Senate Finance Committee will hold a hearing next week.

Republican State Representative Nick Zerwas of Elk River is calling for a criminal investigation into DHS.
