BEMIDJI–Three charged for their involvement in a late January double homicide will make their next court appearances next month.
Darren Stebe, 45, Bemidji, was charged with two counts of second degree intentional murder, and Daniel Linde, 54, Cass Lake and Kristi Trisco, 31, Bemidji were each charged with two counts of aiding an offender after the fact.
According to the criminal complaints, a disagreement about a methamphetamine purchase allegedly led to the homicide of two men, Adam Thorpe and Jason McDonough.
The medical examiner determined the two men died of homicidal violence, with gunshot wounds being the cause of death.
Stebe allegedly cut up at least one of the bodies before attempting to burn them at a property off of Highway 89, and appeared to have spent $5,000 of their money.
Linde allegedly helped Stebe build the burn pit and drag the bodies, and Trisco allegedly helped Stebe spend the money.
Trisco appeared in court Monday, and Stebe appeared recently.
High bail amounts for each will stand as previously ordered, and the court appearances are scheduled for Nov. 13 for Stebe, Nov. 18 for Linde and Nov. 25 for Trisco.
