Early voting for the Special Ward 1 race will begin this Friday.
Early voting in-person is at Bemidji City Hall from 8 to 4:30 p.m. most days, with additional early voting time made available on Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, April 10, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ward 1 residents can also request an absentee ballot that must be returned by the Special Election Day of April 11.
In-person voting on April 11th will be at the Ward 1 polling site at the American Indian Resource Center.
Newcomer Gwenia Fiskevold Gould and longtime council member Ron Johnson are the only candidates that filed in this special election.
