Showing at the Wild Rose Theater on Friday , June 2nd AFTER our Fleur de Lis Art Gallery Opening will be the movie “Winter Love” by Rhiana Yazzie . This night will also feature the art opening & reception for “Four Guardians” with art therapist in Red Lake and prolific artist Donna Alena Hrabcakova, who hails from Slovakia and presently our region .
There will be a meet and greet and art talk at 6:00 PM, potluck at 6:30
PM, (bring a light appetizer to share, please ), and then the viewing of the film “Winter Love “ by Dine Native American playwright ~ filmmaker ~ and founder of New Native Theater, Rhiana Yazzie. Rhiana will carry out a Q & A after the screening of the movie via Zoom as she will be back in New Mexico. This activity is made possible by an Arts Midwest grant to the Mask and Rose Theater.

PLEASE JOIN ME ON Friday, JUNE 2ND, 2023 for my exhibition with Red Lake Nation students and community members. This exhibit is a manifestation of the stories told to me by spiritual elder Arnie Kingbird, recently leaving this Earth Plane to the Spirit World. I made a promise I would paint these crucial stories right before he passed on. I have also written the stories given to me in oral tradition with permission to share. The show will also feature works by Red Lake youth.
