Headwaters Music & Arts announces the start of its after school Art Clubs to be held in the Headwaters Art Room (519 MN Ave NW, Bemidji). With three after school art clubs participants are broken up by age and meet once a week for quality visual art experiences September through May.
Grades k – 2 | Young Artist Club – This year-long club is an introduction to formal art instruction for children K–2 grade. Participants will explore basic art concepts through crafty art projects while using various art forms. The group will get a feel for how to do art with a large group in an art room setting. Art supplies provided. Held Tuesdays, 4-5 pm, Sept. 27 – Dec. 13 & Jan. 3 – May 9 (No session April 11). Space is limited and the cost to attend is $500 – limited financial assistance available.
Grades 3 – 6 | Headwaters Art Club – Explore art in the Headwaters Art Studio! Enjoy a fun and supportive environment while gaining mad art skills. Participants will practice age appropriate art techniques as in an informal, safe and supportive atmosphere with high quality art instruction and mentorship. Early arrival supervised open studio time 3:30 -3:55 available for additional fee. Snack and art supplies provided. Held Thursdays, 4-5:30 pm, Sept. 22 – Dec. 15 & Jan. 5 – May 11 (No sessions Oct. 20, Nov. 24). Space is limited and the cost to attend is $550 – limited financial assistance available.
Grades 7 – 12 | Teen Art Club – Teen Art Club is an opportunity for participants in grades 7-12 to explore art in a fun and supportive studio setting. Participants will start with the basics and create work at their own pace, exploring concepts and skills through different projects. The group will work with watercolor, acrylic, clay, drawing, and more. This fun and informal setting is perfect for students looking for mentorship to grow as an artist. Snack and art supplies provided. Held Mondays, 4-5:30 pm, Sept. 26 – Dec. 12 & Jan. 2 – May 8 (No session April 10). Space is limited and the cost to attend is $550 – limited financial assistance available.
Headwaters Music & Arts is an independent non-profit multidisciplinary organization whose mission is to provide opportunities for creativity through instruction and to inspire community through music and the arts. They aim to make all their youth programming accessible through payment plans and financial assistance. As such art clubs registration fees can be paid all at once or in monthly installments.
