The Historical Society welcomes educator and traveler Cate Belleveau, presenting her memoir “Kayak Cate” on Saturday, October 30, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the History Center meeting room, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW, Bemidji, MN 56601.

Kayak Cate details Cate’s challenge to kayak all of the 274 lakes of Beltrami County (there are 294 but 20 folks did not respond to request to paddle their lakes ), world travels, and finding joy in the natural world in our own backyards. There is some portion speaking about Count Beltrami and kayaking across Red Lake with permission.
Cate is a retired educator, artist and director of the Mask and Rose Theater in its new space in Puposky on the campus of Belle Thalia Creative Arts Space.
