The 33rd season of the Summer Recital Series presented by the Bemidji Area Church Musicians will continue on Wednesday, August 5, 12:00 noon as a “virtual recital.”
This recital will feature musicians from New Salem Lutheran Church in Turtle River. In this time of shut-down and caution for large gatherings, the 2020 series is being videoed and presented on Face Book and You Tube each Wednesday noon.
In addition, Lakeland Public Television has been broadcasting our summer recital series, throughout the season. The recitals are aired on KAWE TV on Saturdays at 4:30 (right before Lawrence Welk) and again on Sundays at 10 am.
The New Salem concert will feature Cheryl Durant, piano, Traci Schanke, soprano, and Annalise Aakhus, mezzo-soprano. These women lead worship at New Salem each week.
The public is encouraged to access this fine recital by going to the BACM Facebook page: BACMusicians or YouTube channel: BemidjiACM. People in the community are invited to donate to the programs managed by BACM.
