The United Way of Bemidji Area, in partnership with Sanford Health, will host a socially-distanced community event in less than two weeks.
According to a release, the event will kick-off on KZY 95.5, and families are invited to tune in and drive around the lake while playing family-friendly games included in a printable activity-pack.
KZY will air interviews during this time, with up-to-date information on COVID-19 in this area.
The event will kick off at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Sanford Center parking lot, and everyone must stay in their car.
After the drive around the lake, participants can pick up their Bar 209 meal at the Sanford Center (if they pre-ordered dinner).
Part of the printable activity pack includes a Bingo page, and completed pages can be turned in for a Dairy Queen treat.
The event is sponsored by First National Bank Bemidji, Bemidji Area Gifts of Hope Fund, Pinnacle Marketing Group, Paul Bunyan Communications, the Sanford Center, Jake Bluhm State Farm and the stations of Paul Bunyan Broadcasting.
