Dia de los Muertos Art Classes

Join Watermark in creating art that honors this traditional Mexican celebration which takes place on November 1st and 2nd . Dia De Los Muertos is a distinct spiritual time of the year to gather family members together, reflect, and remember those that are no longer with us. It is a happy celebration meant to honor dearly departed loved ones, and to appreciate life while still being part of the living.
“Sugar Skull” Create at Home Arts Kits will provide kids a chance to learn about Day of the Dead as they create this quirky, fun, moveable skeleton decoration. Participants, 6 and up can purchase kits online and pick up from Watermark between October 21 and 30. $15. Supplies are limited
Adults are invited to use their creative collage and assemblage skills to create a Mexican inspired “Dia de los Muertos Nicho Box” – a recessed display box used as a portable shrine to an important figure or loved one. This is a pre-recorded class. Participants can register online and pick up supply kits between October 21 and 30. $20. Registration is limited
