Headwaters Music & Arts holds Mini Musician, an 8 session program held Wednesdays, November 30–February 1, 10:30-11:15 am (no session Dec. 21 or 28) at Headwaters Music & Arts (519 MN Ave NW, Bemidji). The class is led by Suzuki trained and long time music teacher Julia Anderson.
Headwaters’ Mini Musician program is a class for 3 and 4 year olds accompanied by their special adult and is a fun, hands-on, exploration into music basics. Through group circle time, movement-oriented songs, hands-on learning centers, games and stories the class will explore sound and the building blocks of music including pitch, rhythm, and tempo. Participants will have an opportunity to learn about different instruments and styles of music, as well as what makes them all so wonderful and unique. With specific creative crafts themed off the day’s lessons, both young ones and adults will get a chance to engage all their senses as they learn.
Each child is required to be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other special adult. The cost to attend is $150/ child-adult pair, $75/ additional sibling, limited financial assistance is available. Space is limited, advance registration is required.
