For over thirty years, Terry Smith worked as a uniformed police officer, long-haired undercover narcotics agent, SWAT Commander, and homicide detective. Starting his career in Bloomington, Terry later spent thirty years working on some of the biggest crimes in Minnesota history with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. For seventeen years Terry ran a squad of homicide detectives with the BCA. Blessed with a good memory and lots of newspaper clippings, Smith has written a memoir documenting his time protecting and serving the people of Minnesota. From the tragic to the humorous, join us as we explore the steamy underside of Minnesota history at the library, 509 America Ave, Bemidji, January 29 at three p.m.
