The Watermark Art Center will honor and celebrate Lorraine A. Staples-Goulet, Bemidji High School’s first Native American Homecoming Queen, class of 1951.
Watermark’s current exhibit “Aabijijiwan-It Flows Continuously” includes imagery and highlights from Lorraine’s life and family as Indigenous people living in the Mississippi Headwaters area.
The event on Saturday, July 30, from 2 to 4 p.m., will be in the Miikanan Gallery.
