Fatal Crash in Langor Township

LANGOR TOWNSHIP- At approximately 4:30 PM on Tuesday, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office 911 center received a report of a two vehicle crash between a passenger vehicle and a farm truck in Langor Township. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the eastbound Honda, driven by a William Berne of Blackduck, appeared to cross into the oncoming lane of a westbound farm truck driven by Roxanne Gross of Hines, and collided head on.  

Upon arrival of emergency personnel it was determined that Berne had died at the scene of the crash. Gross was transported by the Blackduck Ambulance to the Sanford Hospital in Bemidji with non‐life threatening injuries. 

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation with the assistance of Minnesota State Patrol and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
